The Grishneshwar Temple is an ancient structure. Mobiles and Cameras are not allowed inside. This is a comparatively small temple but is more known for its historical importance. Visiting the temple takes hardly 30 minutes.
Ellora caves is just 700meters from the Grishneshwar Temple. You will also get an Auto to go there. They charge 20 rupees. After taking a ticket for Rs. 10/-, you can enter inside. You don’t need to pay extra money for mobile and camera. Even the auto service is available to take you from cave to cave but is not necessary.
All in all, Ellora caves has about 32 caves with a main temple at the Center. This temple is a monolithic structure and to study this one temple itself can take upto a day.
To the right of this temple there are 16 caves and there are 17 caves to the left. To see all the caves in detail takes a full day. There are the Buddhist caves, and also the Hindu caves. Most of the Buddhist caves were meant for meditation. One of these is ideal for chanting. One can hear the echo very clearly. Of the Hindu caves, most of these are dedicated to Lord Shiva.
